Who Lakeland Shelter Helps

Our mission is to provide a supportive environment and essential services to empower individuals on their journey toward stability and independence. We assist a diverse range of people, including those experiencing homelessness, near homelessness, or seeking refuge from the elements.

What Lakeland Shelter Does
Lakeland Out of the Elements Shelter is dedicated to providing hope, support, and essential services to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Through collaborative efforts with the community and stakeholders, the shelter ensures access to assistance that enhances the quality of life for those in need.
Services include transitional housing, intensive case management, in-house programming, and assistance in locating independent community housing. The shelter acts as a supportive hub, reconnecting individuals with vital supports and services, fostering stability and inclusivity. Additionally, Lakeland Out of the Elements Shelter focuses on addressing the root causes of homelessness and breaking the cycle through comprehensive, person-centered strategies.
